Microsoft Public Safety and Justice Solution Seminar Series

Comtrac presented our Investigation, Evidence and Digital Brief Management solution at the Microsoft Public Safety and Justice Solution Seminar Series (PS&J) on 24 November 2021.

Comtrac’s presentation was part of a series of webinars for Microsoft PS&J customers to gain insights into the current challenges, future business requirements and unique insights facing the industry. View the recording below.

In 2020, over 20 Microsoft partners showcased their solutions, with over 900 customer business decision-makers engaged.

Comtrac’s Founder and CEO, Craig Doran, discussed streamlining the Criminal Justice process through digital investigation, evidence and brief management.

“I’m grateful to have the opportunity to present at Microsoft’s Public Safety and Justice Solution Seminar Series,” said Craig.

“I am looking forward to showing the innovation we have delivered to the criminal justice system through the automation of digital briefs of evidence and streamlining the access and delivery of quality briefs of evidence to all stakeholders. As an investigator of 22 years myself, it’s exciting to demonstrate the efficiency and quality delivered through digital evidence and brief management which finally delivers on many recommendations and findings put forward during reviews of the criminal justice process in the past.”

Craig highlighted how Comtrac reduced our customer’s investigation effort by 30 – 60% by digitising the investigation, evidence and digital brief management process.

According to Craig,

“If a case management system is not increasing efficiency and quality of the brief of evidence delivery, then it’s not managing the case at all.”

Comtrac is the investigation management platform that significantly improves the quality and efficiency of your investigations – compared with traditional case management systems. The system provides investigators with a custom workflow that automatically builds the brief as the investigation progresses, increases clarity in what is proven and unproven, and enables the investigative team to customise forms, flows, labels & brief of evidence templates. As Craig explains:

“Comtrac replaces manual and time-consuming evidence and brief management methodologies, dramatically reducing investigation timeframes and streamlining the criminal and administrative justice proceedings through a digital methodology we call Elementising Evidence™.”

The seminar was facilitated by the Microsoft PS&J industry team and led by Nichole Maassen, Australia’s Public Safety and Justice Industry Lead.
